Nokia Scentsory Phone |
|
Now, it is just a very nice idea. It is always interesting to view
concept products. You never know which one will become the next big
thing.
The concept of Nokia Scentsory is quite cool actually. It is a mobile
communication device that works with the senses of smell, sight,
hearing and touch. If the concept goes into production, this phone
could truly revolutionize remote communication and interfacing.
It can also radiate colors, lighting, and temperature from the
caller’s environment. The dual-screen mobile has a LED touchpad,
speakers, hidden camera and temperature sensors. Nanotechnology has
played an important role in development of this new device.
Using highly sophisticated sensors, the electronic ‘nose’ samples the
odor of the caller’s environs and transmits this to the recipient
electronically. Kimberly Hu designs the Scentsory.

Nokia 3110 Evolve |
|

Between 65% - 80% of the phone is recyclable, including the battery, the plastic casing, valuable components such as silver, gold, and palladium, and if you still have it, the original packaging. Nokia’s phone take-back program is one of the most advanced in the industry, and is a global effort to encourage responsible recycling worldwide.Nokia has recently launched a new, more environmentally friendly cellphone called the 3310 Evolve. The Evolve is a great example of a greener device, made from biomaterials and 50% renewable material.

Nokia N96 Slider |
|

As its model name implies, the N96 is the spiritual, if not official successor to the dual-sliding Nokia N95.
Instead of the plain silver or black casing of its predecessor, the Nokia N96 is going for a much more fashionable look, boasting a piano black finish not unlike the new Nokia N81 gaming phone. In fact, you’ll notice that the five-way navigator looks very similar to the other new slider phone. We’re not sure if the Nokia N96 slides downwards as well, but we imagine that it retains that functionality.
