Thankfully, certified tech freak and sometimes software engineer Jatinderjit Singh has found a novel way of reincorporating old, used and disowned cellphones back into our lives. By putting together a bunch of Legos, a few microchips, some motors and an old cellphone, Singh invented the TeMo aka the ‘Telerobotics over Mobile packet data services’, which is a fully functional robot that can do fun tricks you can never get your dog to learn.

Yet another example of Greener Gadgets Design. Nokia Remade isn’t the only phone concept which looks promising or, at the very least, intriguing. Earlier this month, the clever chaps at Nokia unveiled a phone made pretty much entirely from recycled materials.

Once the phone is no longer of use, the user removed the batter, antenna and print board and tosses throws the casing, which is filled with seedlings, in the compost. These new seedlings will eventually become bamboo trees, the thought behind it being that they will counteract the environmental impacts made by the manufacturing process.

Employee for Japanese mobile communication giant Softbank, Kenichi Yuasa, displays the mobile phone called the “Softbank 815T PB (PhoneBraver)”, produced by Japanese electronics giant Toshiba, which transforms into a robot shape.

It seems to be useful for those who feel a bit lonely just talking on the phone. Softbank Mobile Corp.’s new mobile line looks like a small humanoid with attachable arms and legs, with the screen showing various faces.

A good news for those who like to play piano. Now the iPhone’s touch screen can be used as piano. iAno is a virtual piano native application for the iPhone / iPod Touch which turns the device into a functioning digital piano.

The software was put together by a developer going by the name of Mr Aardvark, and he managed to pack in polyphonic sound that allow five key presses to be heard simultaneously.

Here is another weird phone from Custom Phones. This unique looking sandwich is actually a custom designed phone. Hilarious phone is made from a few slices of fake bread.

This sandwich phone is made from two pieces. Pull the pieces of bread apart and one of the slices acts as a receiver, the other as the keypad.

ShakeSMS is another accelerometer powered application from the Mr Tong Ren, developer of the very well known and very popular FlipSilent application.

Shaking a phone to read text messages is as intuitive as swiping your finger across the screen to unlock it, but once you’re trained it becomes second nature. In this case, ShakeSMS is an app for Nokia phones that lets you jostle your phone to view an incoming SMS. Jigger it again to go back to the home screen.
