Softbank 823SH Tiffany Diamond Phone

Japan’s Softbank Mobile unveiling a line of diamond studded cellphones in the global financial meltdown situation.

The Softbank 823SH Tiffany as it is known will be limited to just 10 units, and will come studded with 537 (18.34 carat) diamonds. No idea on the specifications.

The display of the phone has been designed by the famed New York jeweler. Japanese actress Aya Ueto (pictured above) is holding Softbank’s sparkling Tiffany mobile phone. Only 10 units have been put into production.

The “Softbank 823SH Tiffany” phone will sell for around 13 million yen (130,265 dollars), the company said. The phone has a top that flips open to a display also designed by the luxury New York jeweller.
