In the near future we have to reuse and celebrate what is essentially “above ground”. Thus we explored the use of reclaimed and upcycled materials that could ultimately change the way we make things. Now Nokia aims to make a phone constructed entirely of “nothing new”.
Remade is a concept that explores potential new ideas for the future, and is part of Nokia’s ongoing work looking at how it can help people make more sustainable choices.
The Nokia Remade was revealed at the Mobile World Congress which turned heads.

Nokia developed this green phone using just recycled materials in the hope of reducing the environmental impact of mobile phones. The slim flip phone has a metal shell and keypad made of recycled aluminum cans, while the chassis consists of plastic recovered from discarded soda bottles. The rubber parts of the phone come from old car tires, while the power-conserving LCD (which wasn’t working in the demo) and even the internal circuitry are made from recycled products.
