Unlock a Door with Your Cellphone with Wireless RFID Deadbolt System

RFID locks aren’t new but this one goes the extra mile.This lock can be controlled via an RFID key fod, laptop or even a cellphone.

A couple of guys used a Phidget RFID Kit, a Kwikset Powerbolt 1000, relays, a PC board, wire, and some basic software, to creat this wireless door locking.But it still needs some changes to become more practical.

Equipment Used:

* Phidget RFID Kit (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/store…t-EM4102-.aspx)
* Kwikset Powerbolt 1000 (got it on e-bay for $65)
* A couple relays, a pc board, and some wire
* Laptop
* Cell phone (not necessary, but fun)

Software:

* Visual Studio .NET 2005
* C#
* Phidget RFID API
* IIS on Windows Vista”
