In the near future you will be able to order your Starbucks coffee from your iPhone without having to wait in line. Multimedia designer, Phil Lu, has created some mockups of an iPhone application that he calls “QuickOrder”.

The design shows a variety of screens that let you design and customize a drink to order off Starbucks’ menu. The system uses a mix of a credit account and a Semacode scanning system. Semacode works like a digital “receipt,” allowing the user to use their iTunes account for the transaction (which will bypass credit card transaction/identification, and speed up the pick-up process).
